Any aircraft fans who have read this thread? It would be a nice little challenge to have a few types and model sub-types identified. For instance, I think the IOM Christmas 50 P could be an S.E.5a

In Australia we just had a set of coins issued featuring all our football clubs. One is Essendon, known as the Bombers.

Here's a proof version of the 1993 silver One Franc of France that was issued to commemorate the D-Day invasion on June 6, 1944 during World War II. The reverse design features an advancing Allied soldier with a sky full of (symbolically) Douglas C-47 "Goonie Birds" and the thousands of paratroopers they dropped into the battle. If you'd like to read about an interesting set put out by the Battle of Normandy Foundation that includes an uncirculated version of this coin, check out: - 1993 Battle Of Normandy Set
