The following triage of photos comes from the same 50C.

What are we seeing here and what is its classification?

NGC VarietyPlus and CoinFacts have nothing regarding this except for an inapplicable inverted S mm in my opinion.

That's interesting! I wondering if the frosting caused the mintmark to look the way it is?

Anymore input guys? I need help on this one.

Your third photo may show some evidence of an RPM east, in the field. It might be worth a shot at a listing in the CONECA listings...send it in to James Wiles, similar to the 68S RPM-002 north. Attached are two photos of the 68S RPM's in my collection, 68S RPM-001 and 68S RPM-002. Is this a proof coin? If so, it looks like flat field doubling:

A form of strike/machine doubling seen on proof coins.
