Yesterday at a depth of 7" I found this large cent on Eastern Long Island with what appears to be a Cross of Lorraine symbol. Has the wreath on back without errors in much better shape. Difficult to read the date but I do see and an 8 and a one. Could just be someone personalized their coin and a coincidence but this symbol was used by Knights Templar, Masonic Order, and Jesuits. Interesting dash coming from the houth. Found near tidal wetlands that must have had native occupation.
