Congrats Kirk8302! glad you got it. Congrats to all the day 2s winners that got one this morning! possibly there will be more again tomorrow morning but probably even less. Wow 3000 listings on ebay, that's a full 10% of the total issued. Not sure how long that's going to last at that rate, I'm sure they will sell them to someone int he coming days, but then what? LOL I'm not sure 30K is enough for supply to meet demand and if that many got to flippers, good chance they could sell to out of country and be gone from the supply here also. I'm intrigued for sure and have been really interested on this for like 2 months now. LOL there is a chance that those listings aren't fillable sales also, people do that and will lsit something they don't have in hand for a crazy price and then scramble to buy one cheaper to make a profit. Possible some of that is going on here also and people buying at 400-500 from someone on ebay and relisting for $75 right away.that happens too.

I've also heard that the Mint Director has personally signed some of the COA's, and that they are to be randomly distributed amonst the 30,000 Coins. Does anyone know how many COA's were signed by D. J. Ryder?

From a Coin World article "Each coin will be accompanied by the Mint's first issuance of a serial-numbered certificate of authenticity. The serial numbers are unrelated to the order in which coins are struck or packaged. U.S. Mint Director David J. Ryder plans to personally autograph the first 100 certificates". I'm gonna guess thats why PCGS is offering slabbing the COA and making people send them in sealed so they dont' know if they got one of those or not, so they will get more submissions and people will pay the $15 for the slabbed COA. I can't fathom why anyone would want a slabbed COA until This post about him signing 100 of them. That makes a bit more sense I guess..... So, certs numbered 00001-00100 hand signed by the mint director.... hmm should be worth like 50 cents at least! Lol

Was one of the fortunate that was able to grab one on the "second chance" train. Must have been quite a few because after my purchase I went back and tried purchasing another but was denied due to the HH limit. I'm guessing a few hundred since many on here were able to grab one and I'm sure we're not the only ones that know about this.
Still won't be 100% certain until I actually have it in hand. Especially the way the Mint sends out their packages. I received a half open box once.

I managed to get one after much refreshing and error messages. The real killer was the saved credit card option kept forcing a crash so I had to resort to frantically typing the numbers. Unfortunately, the multiple refreshes reset the shipping method to budget, so I won't see it for two weeks or so. Don't want to throw any wrench in the order by calling them to upgrade shipment method.
If prior sellouts are any indication, we may see it go back on sale once more in the early morning. The US Mint is still processing orders so it's possible some will be cancelled due to card issues or order limits.

It sure is easy to see why many young people have no interest in the hobby; that's what it used to be when I got interested in collecting.....a HOBBY!
Now its nothing but CREED.

I was checking out ebay and theres a few PR69 and PR70 slabbed for sale on there, the PR69s I saw are actually listed as BIN for less than what sold listing are and the PR70 is listed for $1900. considering all the recently sold on there are selling between $600-$700, I find it odd that the PR70 is that low and there's many more PR69s listed. I'm guessing they are Baltimore show submissions for on the spot grading, or express grading or something. Just seems odd that 69s are listed for the bottom of low for ungraded and PR70 is listed for less than 3x raw price..... unless the sellers are just going low, or the sales are really high and going to come down soon..... Not sure. I wish all coins the mint sold were this exciting, maybe a lot less frustrating, but this exciting. LOL
