Bizybackson Pillar of the Community United States 1817 Posts	Posted 11/15/2019 09:27 am I only remembered this release because Dave's Collectible Coins sent an email on Weds stating that he would pay $200 for an unopened shipment sent to him. Crazy five minutes yesterday right at 9am PST with the same "oops...and then a 504 Cloudflare gateway issue message...but I had two Safari browsers open on an old iPhone 6S while on a public bus. Don't know how I managed to snag one but got the order ack within 5 min and the order confirm within an hour USM072088xx. The 7:30 am EST releases are spot on. Didn't think there were 30K collectors of ASEs still out there. From the absolutely absurd prices on ebay, seems the majority of the issue went to flippers. The only times I remember participating in such pandemonium on the mint's website was for the 2011 5-coin ASE set and for the 2014 gold baseball coins. The average sales price is between $500 and $650. Considering that there were only 30K for sale, thats 10% of the population.
