In 2018 South Africa released a limited series of banknotes to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Nelson Mandela. The front of each denomination is similar to the 'definitive' notes, but the 'reverse' shows scenes from Mandela's life instead of the usual African wild animals. Here is the 200 Rand note from this series:   |

I'm hoping to get the whole set from circulation, but so far I've only found the 200R and the 100R, which shows Mandela as a prisoner on Robben Island:   I imagine the 10R, 20R and 50R notes are more likely to have worn out and been withdrawn, or saved as souvenirs! |
