Actually received this Friday, but had a coin show and Board banquet Saturday. Just getting around to posting pics.  Santa was very good to me this year! A beautiful Unc. note on the Bank of Washington NC, with a 4-4-0 train vignette right in the middle.Thank You, Santa!  I looked up the bank on line and while the bank failed around 1860 the building possibly (this photo is from 1998) still stands. |

Jimjumper...Very nice gift you received. I live roughly 30 miles from Washington NC. I will be on the lookout for that building the next time I am in the area.

Unfortunately, the face of the die is usually completely obliterated, but it's cool to me to own the die that struck thousands of coins that are out there in circulation.
