Second, @ijn is correct--the copper plating is missing in many places, letting the underlying zinc core show through. This coin is a spender. It should have been made out of injection molded plastic, not copper plated zinc. It would have cost the U.S. taxpayer less to manufacture. Now, it's a complete loss.
