@matt, first welcome to CCF. Second, @ijn is correct--the copper plating is missing in many places, letting the underlying zinc core show through. This coin is a spender.

This is precisely what every Lincoln Cent made after 1982 unless protected, is going to look like in 2050. What a mistake to make Zincoln cents is for the coin collecting community.
