Acquired this piece at a local auction for $750. Any thoughts on the grade?

Tough call.
The obverse looks like it's had some abrasive cleaning.
Or is it a bit baggy?

For now I'll stick to cleaned mostly because the lines appear oriented NW/SE.
IMO bagginess would result in randomness in the direction.

No green on the coin, just reflection of the lighting. I took the picture in natural sunlight.

AU-55. Eye Appeal 8/10 for grade. No hint of cleaning as the tiny light scratches are not parallel except in a few random cases which is expected from light circulation.

Thanks for all your opinions. I felt like I stole it at $750, as it was a sleeper of an auction.

I'll say AU-55, possibly 58. Nice example!

Looks AU-58, with a possible old light cleaning. Nice remaining luster. It has a good chance to straight-grade, maybe at AU-55 if a TPG net-grades it a tad.
Nice-looking coin and it seems like you got it at an excellent price. Congrats!

AU55 or 58 could go either way. I'm leaning towards 55.
