1978 Possible Foreign Planchet ....

Khryscoins New Member United States 30 Posts	Posted 10/29/2019 4:20 pm I came across this in 1978 that look a little unusual. So I put it on the scale and it weighs 2.85. is it possibly on a foreign planchet & is it worth getting checked out? The one on the left is that Penny in discussion the one on the right is a normal weight. Report this Post to the Staff

Philly also minted a bronze Panama Centesimo (KM 22), and that also weighed 3.1g. All the other foreign coins I could find that were minted in Philly in the 1970s were aluminum, nickel, copper-nickel, or silver. Report this Post to the Staff
