Sadly the expected outcome. Good luck with your ebay and PayPal battle.

Hate to say "I told you so". This coin, in its 3 accepted varieties, has been researched to death for decades. Your coin simply didn't match any of the 3, so it had to be wrong by definition. Good luck.

Do not trust your instincts when dozens and dozens of years of collecting experience on this forum suggest you are wrong. Hopefully, you will just be out a grading fee and a lot of hassle.

As others have said in posts I have read before it is ok and even recommended to ask the family here about any key purchases before hand very hopeful you get a return and not a lesson sarge this kind of thing should be criminalised as counterfeiting if someone can't print a $5 bill with a face value of five dollars why is it that every day counterfeit coins can sell for hundreds even thousands of dollars with no consequences from the secret service. Granted they can't get the manufacturers mostly in China or korea probably but there are americans passing these trinkets off on major auction sites with paper trails and red hands why no prosecution forget a refund until the government grows interest in stopping these forgeries form transferring hands we must be diligent and stick together in our collective knowledge.

That's not good news. Hopefully, you are just out the grading fee.

I just found this thread, and decided to scroll through the pages. Sorry about the bad news Sarge. But I think just about every collector will make this kind of mistake at least once in their collecting career. Keep on trying and you'll eventually pull the trigger on the right coin.
