The image of bell lines is the full spread. Is it worth grading?

I'm having trouble getting a good feel for the right obverse field - looks strange in both pics. Can you explain?

Have to agree some issues with right obverse field. Your coin seems to be in between brilliant and semi-cameo .
Not sure about FBL ,need more pics .

Could just be reflections from the camera angle. It looks to be a high grade Franklin, much like my '55 avatar.

But it's a toss up wether it's worth grading. High mintage year, not a lot of value there. You could take a chance on a high MS grade.

I'll take more pics when I get home. I scored a 57 proof set (says Philadelphia in badge in cellophane). All the coins in the set look great

Just a quick reminder that they don't award the FBL designation to proof Franklins. I think it's assumed to be FBL if it's a proof and if it doesn't have FBL then it gets an Impaired Proof designation.

That's not true . There are many beautiful Franklin proofs that do not have FBL , and they are not impaired proofs .

T-Bop,

You are correct and I mispoke (mistyped?) in regards to the impaired proof designation. A Franklin proof will not get an impaired proof designation simply because it lacks FBL.

However, it is true that you cannot get the FBL designation for any Franklin proof. I was simply trying to point out to the OP that sending his suspected proof in for grading because of the potential for an FBL designation is not a good idea.

Apologies for any confusion I may have caused.

Good info guys. Thank you. I am only recently learning that full bell lines, full steps and torch bands doesn't mean squat for proofs
