Guts. Plenty of guts. Meandering through the red goo. Blood dragged across the pavement. Three separate bodies . Eyes looking towards the heavens , eyes looking towards the south, north while one unblinking lifeless orb stared towards Hades. There were other eyes. Blank eyes from a murder of crows cackling waiting for a break in the traffic. No remorse. A smorgasbord awaiting their indiscriminate palate They say war is heck but crossing the Bicentennial Highway was sure suicide for any four legged beasts as the dead racoons attested! The horror......the horror. In the blink of an eye a whole family decimated. Not wanting to add to the carnage I proceed with utmost care and control of Nogo Sojo.

An eerie silence swept across my target area. Quota Guru number two was primed. The hunt began. The coil was swung. The quietness was interrupted by a haunting howl. Fear crept in. "It" was there. Crawling up my leg while out of the corner of my eye movement of yet another approaching. Mortified I stood still; a shrill of a whistle and the aberrations retreated. The beast master looked my way. A sly look, an unassuming raising of his left eye lid. He spoke..."Find any gold?" I was relieved with not a drop of golden liquid running down my leg! Explained to the man that the hunt had just started whereas he gave me the full Monty story of his two canines.

At ease I began the dig again with a nice 925 "O" emerging from the ground. Half quota was had with the other half dug in peace at another location. Take for the sortie was 51 coins @ $13.88, golf egg and the silver ring.

nice going on the O and $$
I'm sure a few worms gave their lives in the name of detecting today as well...sacrifices have to be made to put the treasure on the table lol
enjoy the nice digging weather while it lasts these days...things can go sideways quickly with the weather and things could go south with the geese...keep at it Les
