Very strange that Ghana would have a castle in it's emblem...throwback to its colonial past?

Quote: Very strange that Ghana would have a castle in it's emblem...throwback to its colonial past? It was originally representative of Osu Castle, a long-time seat of government - during and after time as colony. You can find plenty of info out there about it with a quick internet search if you're interested.

Nice 1.5 Euro Austrian...my understanding is that odd value Euro coinage (1.5, 3, 5) is only spendable within the country of origin...not that this would be spent as it is silver (?)...so the intrinsic value is more than the nominal value...again, nice pick-up.

100% Kopper Ken. Just like a modern Silver or Gold Eagle. The face value is just to make it a sovereign coin, but they are sold as bullion.
