A Spanish piece but a bit more modern than most created in 2011. Bellver Castle is a Gothic-style castle on a hill 3 km to the west of the center of Palma on the Island of Majorca, Balearic Islands, Spain. It was built in the 14th century for King James II of Majorca, and is one of the few circular castles in Europe.

CASTILLO DE CHAPULTEPEC.apparently is built on an old pyramid according to archeologists. There are tunnels running underground for kilometers. A very interesting site and fantastic history.

Lots of interesting stories inside these castles!
This penny token shows the ruins of Peel Castle on the Isle of Man, which dates back to the 11th century, when Magnus Barefoot, the Norse King of Man, built a lodge there.

Isle of Man, 1811 Douglas Bank 1d token. Withers 2060, Davis 10.
