Found this coin that I thought it had a double mint mark BUT on CLOSER inspection it looks like it has AN OMM but it's a w FOR west point.
I dont think they made coins that year.
Your opinion please.

What you have is a well worn 1964-D (Denver) nickel. The W you think is there is just PMD. Just incidental marks, nothing more.

Damaged in circulation. They made a lot of nickels this year.

The West Point mint wasn't in operation in 1964. It opened in 1988.
