A bank called Town bank, in Southeastern Wisconsin.

Interesting.

Things are opening back up, so these mentions of "coin shortages" seem really really odd to me. I'm in Southern California.

I was very surprised; I saw that in the teller drawer, that she was telling the truth, as she opened it in front of me, and usually it is filled, but not that time.

I was very surprised too when the one Chase teller told me... so instead of picking up coins there as usual, I used them as a "dump bank", giving them a box worth of both Nickels and Dimes to help them out yesterday.

I know that most coin roll hunters frown on this, but I dump and pickup at the same bank, and have been for over 10 years. I don't have a license, and my mom has to drive me everywhere. I am very thankful and lucky that I have this special arrangement at this bank.

I got some more coins today (I found a 1940 nickel in the last batch, and am saving the cents for another time)
Very nice!

I just dumped a bunch of coins into my account (around $200), so I have extra money in there to buy coins when the shortage is over. Also I picked up six rolls of cents, and one roll of nickels from the gas station; so far there is a 2009 cent ender, which I may keep.

Whenever I buy coins no one says anything about a coin shortage. I am going to get $800 in coins mostly half's. I'll tell you about it. I will actually start my own thread to show off my finds.

Oldfordman, that is very cool; I can't wait to hear what you find; good luck. Here is a 2009 ender that I got from a friend of mine who works at a local gas station

The random wheat in change would make me smile more than their burgers.

I only got a large cup of coffee, I think it was a $1.06; that is how I got the cent for change.
