The screw type tubes that I use , I have sealed most of my Lincolns with either tape around the caps and tube or wax sealed . The screw caps do have a tendency to come loose sometimes if shuffled around . Most of the coins that I salted away 56 years ago look like the day they were minted . Report this Post to the Staff

The plasticizers added to PVC (to make it softer, like in vinyl flips and pages) are what causes problems for coins.
