Let me start 1917 without the usual barrage of Halfcrowns and George V

How about some AU Mercury dimes - 1917S and both are stunners I got real cheap.

Add a nice Standing Liberty TYPE 1 quarter into that mix

The basis of what will be an impressive American collection one day when I grow bored of Halfcrowns.

Plenty more American coming in the next days.

EF and gFine 1917D pennies, the EF one is very nice with some lustre. The other coin looks "whizzed" but these coins appear much nicer in the flesh that the photo shows them.

Also a S cent

Decent VF but sadly with verdigris.

All these coins came from a huge collection I bought off some elederly people in the backblocks and they claimed the American coins came from a GI in a local camp nearby in 1942.

The person who showed the Canadian quarter in 1918 will take solace that my dime makes that quarter look like a cameo.

Worn, bad photo, holed and severely mutilated. This was another scrap coin in the collection that kept giving ($200 gave the quarters, pennies, nickels and all the dimes you will see the next few days plus the 1934 walker and all my ancients)

Again, I love it as its real - really munted

The usual saturation coverage of Half crowns and endless George V coins will resume soon!
