It seems Hamburg was not the only city with a 3-towered city gate (@spence's 1762 coin). Here is a 1761 Polish solidus (schilling) of the city of Torun with the same architectural feature:   |

Won't be too long before we start seeing some Hapsburg jaws around here...
On an unrelated note, I do have a German States coin from 1750, which I will post when we get there.

Poland 1760 trojak (3 groschen), Gdansk mint (rev. legend GROSSUS TRIPLEX GEDANENSIS). Coin is about the size of a U.S. nickel and quite thin.   Edited by tdziemia
