Here is a 1/24 Thaler from the German Free City of Einbeck dated 1670 AD:   "If you climb a good tree, you get a push."

@Spence, that's a pretty scarce German States issue -- first I've ever seen one. Now I have yet another issuer (Einbeck) to go hunt down. :P

Quite a numismatic patchwork in Silesia in the last third of this century, with issues coming from the Silesian Royal Mint, Bishopric of Breslau, Duchy of Leignitz-Brieg(-Wolau) and Duchy of Wurttemburg-Oels. Even more when we get back to the 1620s/1630s. Edited by tdziemia

Very nice pair of coins, @paralyse, especially the Olmutz. 1668 Poland 1 Ort (18 groschen), Bydgoszcz mint. Next two decades are pretty rich in Polish-Lithuanian numismatics, so I expect to have some company In the reign of Jan II Kasimir, we've got copper and billon schillings made at 5 different mints, and "silver" 2, 3, 6, 18 and 30 groschen coins were made at another 7 mints!   |

Stunning Silesia coin! 1667 Duchy of Brabant 1 ducaton, Type 1 (juvenile bust). This portrait of the young Charles II was first used on coins of the previous year when he was 5 years old.   |

a 6 Groschen from Poland dated 1667 I was thinking you might be the first to kick in some Polish coins this decade For 1666 I have a pair of these small copper solidi (schillings) minted in Lithuania during the reign of Jan Kasimir. Left is from the Brest mint, modern day Belarus (HKPL monogram reverse below knight) and right is Kaunas mint (stag's head mark reverse). These two mints operated for only two years, only to produce these coins, as best I can tell.   |
