Sorry I have been absent. On the uniface heller, Kunker also calls it as 1432: https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=5314622I always presume they know what they are talking about concerning German coins (just as I trust Elsen's expertise for southern Low Countries, and WCN for Poland). I would vote for moving forward.

As mentioned in my gap listing, the next expected gaps (assuming no further acquisitions) are 1415, 1410, 1406, 1404, 1402 (and then we're missing most dates until the 1380s). In other words, if bd251 successfully shows up, we might be on a fairly smooth run for the next two weeks or so... hard to imagine that we're getting that far! I wonder what would the 15th century progression of the 7th edition look like. It's currently going full speed through the 16th century, so we'll start to find out in mid-February or so.

The gap listing is really helpful!
I've been searching in Holland recently, and picked up 1422, 1411, 1378 and possibly 1354. And I am confident we will get to 1239 for a recent acquisition for southern Italy.
Oh wait, there is also a 1388 coin from Flanders!
November was really fruitful (but I need to take off about a year for my finances to recover)

Ok yay-glad to have some confirmation on that last one! Here is a Double Gros from France. This emission was in effect between June and August of 1431 AD. I have attributed as Duplessy 488c and Roberts 2906.

I guess that's my cue to make sure I have everything photographed Quote: I wonder what would the 15th century progression of the 7th edition look like. I think I remember there being a gap in the early 16th century with the absence of Grinya.

Quote: Did you already do a gap list for the 7th edition? I think I remember there being a gap in the early 16th century with the absence of Grinya. The 16th century should be 100% covered by several active OFEY collectors. In any case so many people have so many coins that I couldn't hope to have a reasonable list. You were probably thinking of the late 15th century, with dates like 1491 and 1487 being possible stoppers. I'll try to do a report covering the 1499-1457 range (1457 being where my first gap report started) but I can't guarantee being even close to complete.

Jaunpur Sultanate AE falus AH 833 GG-J8 Goron and Goenka note in The Coins of the Indian Sultanates, "These coins are sometimes found slivered. The silvering is presumably modern." This appears to be one of those. Quote: You were probably thinking of the late 15th century, with dates like 1491 and 1487 being possible stoppers. I do have 1487 (AH 892).

I have been asked so I will try to deliver. The report for the 1499-1457 range. ...yes this belongs in the other thread but I don't want to do it too far in advance.
Main sources: How Far Back Can We Go (6 editions, because the 7th isn't there yet), Walking Back to Antiquity by Decades (3 editions), and the Levinson thread from 2016. (I checked one other thread that I thought could help, but it didn't have anything relevant.)
Users whose last post and last visit dates were both prior to 2023 are not included in the listings (even if some of those might still be contactable). This most notably includes pepactonius, but also Fuzzy317 and Petrus, who made many contributions to the early threads.

Note that Spence appears to have at least one coin for almost every year in the range - the only ones he doesn't have (as far as I could tell) are 1487-6 and 1462-0, which are all covered by other active participants.
(Spence's 1491 coin was acquired after Grinya's 1491 post in this thread - but we should now be able to get through that date, at least. Between that and bd251's 1487 coin we shouldn't actually have any straight-up gaps in the 7th edition.)
