Ok well then here is a coin minted in 1429 AD. This Körtling was issued by the German City of Göttingen. I have attributed it as Levinson I-24:

Quote: This Körtling was issued by the German City of Göttingen. That design with a huge G is funky... can't see it very well on this specific coin, but IIRC they were made into the 16th century and were even funkier by then. I should probably try to redo my listing for the 1457-1400 range as well (i.e. the rest of the 15th century); many new additions to that range in this thread, and at least one more found while looking up 15th century coin posts in the old threads. Then I should redo 1400-1308 because I've figured out some search function tricks that should hopefully help me find other CCF threads involving coins in that range... would probably be its own post, though, especially as it would take much longer.

Quote: That design with a huge G is funky. Yes I agree. Goslar used that design element over the course of quite a few decades I think.

This Goldgulden is a recent (2023) acquisition for me. It was minted at Bonn on behalf of the German City State of Cologne. While not dated, it is datable to 1428 AD. It is attributed as Noss 340, Felke 1154, and Friedberg 797b.

Always nice to see this thread moving again. I've got a pair of uniface Pfennige from Austria that are attributable to 1427 AD. Here is one of them: The letters are a bit stylized, but circle the central shield with A - B - T. My attribution is Szego 2L13.

That goldgulden for 1428 is really stunning, and you nailed the photos! For 1427 I've got this 2 mite coin of the Country of Flanders. There were "emissions" for 1427 and 1428 with some differences in the lettering (1427 uses As without crossbars), so the 1427 is safely a one-year issue. Pretty cool gothic F, too.

For 1426 AD, I have this Goldgulden from the German Electorate of Pfalz. It was minted at Bacharch and unfortunately was mounted at one point. It is attributed as Friedberg 1976 and Felke 1126.
