1928-D LWC MM Location & Lettering?

I've been sorting through wheat cents and this one stood out from the other 1928-D's in that the mintmark was much closer to the 9. However it is maybe not so different than the example here: https://i.PCGS.com/s3/cu-PCGS/Photo...coln-30o.jpg. The lettering in IN GOD WE TRUST also seems unusual. I'm unfamiliar with variety coins so unsure if this is interesting or ordinary variation.

Since mint marks were punched into the die by hand at that time, their position can vary.

The distorted devices is from excess die wear. Same on the date as well.
