I'm going to check something.....
The 'notgeld mufti' (by Monika Pick) shows that Pforzheim issued notes from 5 different notgeld categories:
KGL, Grossgeld 1918, Inflation 1922, Inflation 1923 & Wertbestaendige.....

Here is a lovely looking reverse of a piece I am dealing with at the moment.

If it was just missing its serial number it would be just that - 'missing serial number'. Lots of sellers out there are selling pieces at really inflated prices as specimen or muster pieces, when they aren't true specimens - be careful!
