I removed coins from Numistastic set so I could see them without the blurry plastic.
Typically, this type of packaging hides low quality coins that
RCM puts into Gift sets.
But here I had a pleasant surprise. I rarely see
RCM coins of such quality.
BU is MS67 - not a single mark under 10x magnification.
Specimen, Reverse Proof, and Matte Proof are SP69 and PF69 - 1 tiny contact mark each.
I could not find anything wrong with the regular Proof - PF70.
I particularly like the Reverse Proof coin. Mirror polish of devices, legends and rims
makes them to stand out on the matte field.
The mint does itself a disservice by using that cheap packaging.
The coins would shine if placed into a clear acrylic holder. I am thinking of
something similar to 1908-1998 special sets or just the small book style of early 1990's specimen.
And I wish they added the silver proof coin to the set.
That would make the set truly complete and valuable.
