I guess its money from Vietnam. I said this in another post, but my dad severed in the military and was in Vietnam.

I Don't know the story behind it or why he brought it back, never got to ask him. All I know is he was put in the jungle. So maybe it came from a village or something? lol idk.

is it special or rare or anything since its from the Vietnam war?

Cool note! Especially as it came from your dad. My most prized notes are those which I have received from family and friends! It was a note My dad had from his time in France that got me into collecting.

That note is a 100 Dong from South Vietnam, issued in 1966. it the the money that circulated all over the country at the time. There are 2 varieties of watermark, one being worth $10 in VF, the other $3 in VF (this from an old catalogue). Likely your father brought it home as a souvenir. Servicemen did that a lot.

However, the monetary value is probably not that important.
