KauaiHawaiiGuy Pillar of the Community United States 612 Posts	Posted 02/08/2020 4:51 pm This one has me fooled. I graded it at the time I bought it around 3 1/2 years ago. It still has nice cartwheels, is still sort of frosty looking, but the high spots are definitely worn both obverse and reverse. It's not polished and no obvious cleaning. I think I still stand my that AU-53 today, what do you think? Report this Post to the Staff

I'm at at tossup whether the marks between the ribbon and left wreath and ONE DOLLAR are natural or intentional damage. It definitely would be drop-graded for eye appeal. The question is whether it would drop a half step or a whole step. Starting with a technical grade of AU-55, I could easily see this one net graded AU-50. Regardless of the amount of the drop-grade, this one would see a substantial downward price adjustment from AU-55 because of appearance. Report this Post to the Staff
