Hi -

Anybody here collect ephemera?

I have a pile of newsletters from the National Commemorative Society that I'd like to give away. The newsletters date back to 60s and 70s. For those of you who don't know - the National Commemorative Society is the group that founded the Franklin Mint. They got together in the 60s and put together a series of collectible silver medals. After 5 or 6 issues they decided to form their own private mint and make the medals themselves. This is the pre-cursor to everything the Franklin Mint ever did. The newsletters discuss the voting system, the engravers, etc etc. Some neat stuff in here.

Anyway, like I said, I have a bunch of newsletters (see photo) that I'd like to give away to a *serious* collector of medals and ephemera. I ask only that you pay shipping on this (US$8.05 priority mail). I also have a book about the society but it's pretty hefty so shipping would be a few bucks more on that (media mail).

Let me know - first come first served.

email sent!

As my posts here on CCF can attest, I've been a serious collector of medals and ephemera for many years!

That's a great idea - but a lot of work...! The book must be a hundred pages alone, plus all the newsletters...

What do you think @commems...?

With well over 1,000 pages involved between the book and newsletters, I don't see me being able to scan and post them all. There might also be some copyright issues involved.

I have a few of the medals from the series and will post the corresponding newsletter pages if/when I post about any of them.
