Hello I found this coin in some pocket change and noticed it is a befor 64 silver quarter. That's what got my attention and then as I looked at it closer I was able to see that it had an error on the reverse. At the tip of the beak there.is a split that makes it look as if the eagle has lips ( pointy ones lol). At the time I discovered this coin I posted about it in this forum but didn't have a pic that was close enough to show the error. I received many comments about it being a spitting eagle but from what I have seen from research I can not find another like it and it doesn't look like a spitting eagle error. Since then I have found my way with my camera to get some decent but not perfect shots of the error and can use some help learning more about this coin. Thanks!!

@marcie, found silver is always nice. I agree with @john that it is a little hard to tell if this is just damage or perhaps a small die chip.

It could be a contact mark? PSD if that is raised above the design.
