Considering that there was only one PEI cent it makes that task less of an achievement. So you need a newfoundland Edward VII or your collection will never be as complete as mine. Do you want me to find one for you?

Stop bullying me Let me know if you have one (I have very little self control), but I've come to the realization that I may never have a good of a set as the Canadians, but I can live with that

@HFjacinto, actually I would have to get one from my LCS, where I can get a pretty good deal, but unfortunately my LCS is going to be closing for at least several weeks due to the virus, so remind me in a few weeks.
Actually my large cent collection is not special at all. World coins are my specialty.

I have the 1858 coming in and I'm going to leave it alone for a while. Considering everything I'm going to get 1 coin I have an hold and then save up for the 1909 S VDB. This way I have some cash just in case. I spent a lot this year as I got extra cash and have sold off all the prints from my gallery show. But with no more prints I don't have extra income. I'll have to settle for an ok set, but I can say I'll have a complete cents collection (well to me at least).

I think I'll stop with this set for a little! The 1858 I ordered was supposed to come so I called the company I ordered from seems they sold out and never shipped and never told me. I canceled my order and asked for a refund. I'll see if I can find one locally. I'm done with ordering from Canada. Of the 3 orders 2 got temporary lost and 1 was never shipped. The 2 that got "delivered" late the sellers did nothing wrong, but the delivery companies really are losing it. The other I'lm not going to do business with them. From our call they were trying to find another one. I understand but 10 days is too long without telling me what's going on.

That's horrible... I have tons of US customers (on ebay), and in 10 years, I can probably count on one hand the problems with delivery... If you are patient, you'll find a good dealer who will have exactly what you are looking for.

Quote:That's horrible... I have tons of US customers (on ebay), and in 10 years, I can probably count on one hand the problems with delivery... I've ordered hundreds of items. In all this time, I had one lost shipment from UPS in which they delivered coffee to a neighbor. I got it a few days later. Ordering from Canada, I had 5 orders in total messed up. Not that the people shipping did anything wrong, but the 2 orders came 3 days after being out for delivery (small cents), 2 orders got delivered to the wrong address (large cents) and only got delivered after I opened a case and the final large cents the company just didn't ship or contact me or anything. AND THIS IS A LARGE COMPANY... that has really good ratings. Quote: If you are patient, you'll find a good dealer who will have exactly what you are looking for. I got contacted by some one that has an 1858 and am trying again. The 1858 is supposed to be here on the 24th. I hated to do this but this one I charged to my AMEX through paypal. I'm still out over $100 USD for the other 1858 that was never shipped. Even though I filed a claim and the store said they are refunding, I'm being safe this time. PLEASE NOTE in no way am I saying that the sellers (other than the 1 that never shipped) did anything wrong, but something is definitely up with the shippers. Fedex and USPS are definitely having issues lately.

i was one of the people who sent you the bulk of your large cents and I never ship with tracking but for some reason I did this time ,i never have any problems shipping to the usa, but this time not only was the shipping expensive ($18) but the teller asked if I wanted to pay for return shipping in case the package doesn't get delivered (this is why I asked for tracking) why should they charge this amount if they cant deliver it and I have to pay more to get it back!!! well I said no because like I said I never have any problems and or coarse we had a problem which thankfully was resolved, I think your carrier is high

I live in the north/west most portion of my town. Our mail used to come around 1 PM pretty consistent. Since I work from home most days I know when the mail person comes. After Christmas they must have changed routes now we get our mail after 4ma few times a week. I'm assuming that we are one of the last places to get the mail on those days. The days we get the late mail we are always missing letters (I get informed delivery) or no packages that day. I wonder if it's because of informed delivery that I now notice everything being late? I will state that all the ebay packages came in within a day or 2 of when scheduled, but the large cents, 2 packages and both delivered to the wrong place? That's just weird. Oh well in the end I got everything so far I paid for and the sellers were really good!! And no Gidjit!! No Canadian 5 cents :)

I will state the FedEx lower cost service like "smart post" and "ground" just basically are terrible. The US mint uses "smart post" or as I like to call them "Slow post" and they are slow! 2 weeks to get a package from Memphis TN. I could have walked faster and that's not a joke!!

Yes, those Canadian 5 cent " Half Dimes" are really interesting. Especially the ones that had 21 leaves, then 22 leaves, then back to 21 leaves.

A stunning collection so far. Props for putting it all together, I've had tough luck with Large cents but 5 cent pieces are going well for me. I highly recommend getting into them, so far as I know there are a few "Library of Coins" albums for Canada 5 cents roaming around still... Other than that I'm not sure what other albums would fit those little fish scales.
