I have found an extremely worn 1906 Barber. Where would the mint mark be on one of these. I know it is only worth the silver but I would be interested in the answer

Yours is a New Orleans mint. Mint marks are below the eagle tail. I have always found these attractive even worn. With full rims they tend to hold quite a bit of detail making them tough to grade sometimes. I like where your collecting interests lie. On a side note, books on specific series should be on your future list as they are very helpful.
