This is a great collection! I admire your long term ambition and totally think you should go for it if you are passionate about the series. I was lucky--I recently got to see full sets of Flying Eagle and Indian Head cents in BU condition (with a few odd proofs in there, including the 1856!), sitting in an old album (since the 1950s or 1960s!!) get pulled out and sent off to PCGS for certification. Some of the those cents are stunners, but with basically all of them grading in the 63-65 range. I think you can do it--and if you can't get the 1877 one for a while, who cares? Having the key date in a slightly lower grade doesn't ruin a set for me.

Great addition! I'm VERY excited for you.

@Adam590 - If you have an opportunity to go to Orlando in January for Winter FUN 2023, I'll be having an Educational Exhibit, which will include my very unique Indian Head cent PCGS Registry set.

What an amazing collection and journey! It is hard enough to assemble a rare IHC set, but slabbed? Wow.

I had started about 5 years ago to collect PROOF IHC slabbed coins, because the prices were so soft. After saving and slowly getting up to 6 coins, the prices on proofs took off, so I stopped.

Thanks all!

I recently found a new IHC that I was missing! I should get it soon and will post. I am still missing 9 so it will take a while to complete the set.
