Wow already sold out (for now)! I'm still waiting for mine to even ship even though I ordered it ~15 min. after ordering opened up. Since I live in Hawaii they actually ship by USPS direct even with budget shipping*, probably the only time living in HI is actually beneficial for shipping lol.
*Product enrollments still go the Fedex route and that takes 2.5-3 weeks...which is why I disenrolled

Mine is on the way. According to FedEx it's supposed to come next Thursday. Which means Friday or Saturday.

Mine were finally changed to shipped! I was starting to wonder if I was at the back of the line and would have to wait until they started producing again.

I'm perplexed. I checked the bank on monday and it had the transaction as pending and the money was out of my balance, and now I check and it's just gone from my transaction list, and the money back. Order still says processing on the mint website. No idea what kind of operation they are running over there. LOL It's like they did it and failed to complete it with the bank, and didn't realize they failed to do it so it's sitting as processing. I dunno, I'm lost on this one. update: Oh yeah was my 2nd order last year, ironically, also the silver proof set. took 10 days to be marked shipped or for them to take my money, and it was at my door in 24 hours from the money actually getting taken. Probably did the same thing again this year. I think it's because I tacked on some other things (in this case those 2019 reverse proof innovation dollars, last year was the 2018 introductory coin) and maybe having to move them from a different distribution center to the one with the Silver proof set... Who knows. probably tighter security for silver proof sets vs. innovation dollars I'd think. LOL last year shows order placed on 4/17/2019, order shipped on 4/27/19 that tracking number is dead now so can't see when it was marked delivered but it's all coming back to me now. I'm gonna just let it ride and see what happens. Chasing them last year didn't make it any faster.

I got notified today via e-mail that my order has finally been shipped. Watching for the postman is one of my MAJOR things I do now to entertain myself these days.

I also ordered a couple regular non-silver proof sets with it, so that may be the reason for the hold up.

Anyone else think this will be it for the silver proof set? Obviously there is still the limited edition silver set, but even with that the mintage of the silver half will be comparatively low.

Personally, no. I don't think this will be it for the 2020 silver proof set. They sell about 400k of them or more each year. They did what they did in my opinion just so they wouldn't tie up silver in the sets sitting in the warehouse all year and decided to do them in production runs instead and spread it out.
I'm sure they will produce more later in the year.

Mine shipped on Thursday and UPS website shows they will be delivered today (Saturday). We shall see! UPDATE - Sets just delivered by the UPS man and they are absolutely beautiful! The "bonus" reverse proof "W" Nickel is a stunner! Was disappointed last year with the "W" cents. Not the case this year with the nickels ....100% pleased!

I think they'll try to run more, especially when they do the limited edition set, but wouldn't be shocked if this becomes a key date because of the loss of 3-4 months of production time.

I think they won't make that much more if at all, because as mrpapageorgio said they'll lose a lot of production time and they have a LOT of products they want to release, especially since they are already behind on the American Innovations series (PF + RP) and I'm pretty sure the release order and number of coin designs for each year is governed by law, so they can't stray that far. I was also surprised at the number of mint offerings with "TBD" for their release date even before the virus, which makes me think a lot was and still is up in the air. Besides it seems like the mint director likes to release products with low mintages to create scarcities so this situation could provide a convenient explanation.

Maybe it will end up being like the 2012 proof sets, which still are about the most expensive mint sets out there in the last 50 years..

The cheapest BIN set I see on ebay is $78, and on the other end of the spectrum, someone wants $125.
