Hello. I have a silver looking 1992 d Lincoln Cent that does not stick to a magnet and weighs 2.7 grams. Its texture is not smooth, slick or sticky. It is driving me crazy!! If aluminum it would weigh less at 2.5 and if copper more @ 3.1 right? So what am I looking at?

It may even be painted. Looks like I can see the copper on the rims? Looks like the coin was altered. PSD

Remember most 1982 and all above would be copper plated zinc (2.5 gs)...so IMO your cent was plated, maybe as a school science project ( many are easy to do and can be seen on uTube)
