Found this while hunting a box of quarters tonight. Never seen anything like it. One side of the coin has a raised texture. The other side is normal. Does this look like damage or could this be from the minting process? Thanks!

It's a fingerprint. Not an error. Spend it.

I'm not seeing any loops or swirls that would indicate a fingerprint...but I do agree on it being a spender = PMD. Maybe it was laying on some type of fabric which transferred onto it.

Greasy Fingers, that's definitely a fingerprint. I've seen these types of fingerprints before.

No loops, but definite pattern of a big 'ole fingerprint. no mint error, just PMD. Spend it.

I agree more likely cloth imprint than a fingerprint, but it doesn't really matter as it happened after the coin left the mint--not a mint error.
