Silver101 Pillar of the Community Canada 1081 Posts	Posted 05/05/2020 07:51 am Hello all, I'm looking for a book or online resource that might help identify rarities in a biggish heap of Canadian coins. My girlfriend recently presented me with a shopping bag full of coins she had in her basement. I'm guessing 500 - 1,000 coins. Includes many silver 25c and a smaller number of 50c as well as some random odds and ends. About 90% Canadian. They're mostly in fairly poor condition - the 25c range from G6 to VG10 with almost no exceptions. A few nice examples: a collectable 1919 25c in F12 for example. My guess is that much of this is meltable. But I'm wondering if there are varieties that I should be watching out for that are not listed in the standard Charlton guide? My expertise (to the extent that I have any) is in the Victorian era and is mostly Newfoundland - so, I don't know what to look out for. And the numbers are high enough that there might well be some hidden gems. Any advice out there? Report this Post to the Staff
