Since Steve "bullied" (* see below) me as I didn't have a 1963 FRN $1, I was "forced" to buy one to get a more complete type set. *Note: For those that aren't privy to the joke. There was no bullying, Steve showed me that the 1963 Treasury Seal was in Latin with the younger ones are all in English.. Don't get all wound up.

Quote: Nice set but can you please but what year the notes are for people who don't know. Of course from the top to the bottom (please note the year on the note isn't necessarily the year it was printed) Top Series 2013 - Treasury Seal in English Series 1963 - Treasury Seal in Latin Series 1957 - Silver Certificate with "In God we Trust" Series 1935 A - North Africa Note - Issued to the troops in North Africa and Europe Series 1935 A - Hawaii - Replacement for the currency in Hawaii in WWII. The US Gov was afraid the Japanese would overrun the islands and use the money to fund the war. All regular currency in Hawaii was burned and replaced with currency that has Hawaii on the front and back, so it would be easy to demonetize in case of a Japan invasion. Series 1935 A - No "In God We Trust" on Reverse, Silver Certificate Series 1934 - Funny Back Silver Certificate Series 1928 - Funny Back Silver Certificate Bottom

Look for a 1928 Red Seal US Note. Not particularly expensive. That's the only small sized $1 with a red seal.

Kanga, everyone that I have seen (not on ebay) either is in poor condition or in high grade. Most of my collection is VF+, so I didn't want lower than VF and the CU ones are expensive. It's on the list but so are a few others, so it will have to wait. Unless you want to me sell me one cheap The Red Seal actually has a pretty interesting story. All 1928 red seal dollar bills say series of 1928 on them. However, they were actually not printed until 1933. To make things even odder, 1928 one dollar red seals didn't get released for circulation until late 1948. When they were finally released into circulation, Puerto Rico was chosen as the location of distribution.

Quote: Picked up an Obsolete Note also, most have plain backs but this one is ornate. Very nice!

I really like the federal reserve large note. The reverse have beautiful imagery. This was the last Federal Reserve Note on my list.

The backs are the Money Shot on most large-size FRNs. Love it.
