Since I'm making the last payment on Friday, I figured I pretty much own this note :) This is a really nice pick up from Coin Frog, this is FR1173 which is the more common (although gold certificates are all pretty rare) of the 1907/1922 series. Its a nice about uncirculated grade with really nice color. Happy to get it.

Another note for the collection. I'm also a member of a paper money forum and I won a contest a few months ago. The prize was an error note that I got graded.

I'm at the point in my collection, that it takes a long time to get a new acquisition. Coming soon we will get a major upgrade.

Cool interesting how one side is good and the other misaligned.

Of all the notes I purchased a few I was not overly happy with and was looking to upgrade. The $20 small sized Gold Certificate was one of those, when CoinFrog offered me one, I couldn't say no. It's a really nice note with no folds that I can see. It also has vibrant color. I consider this a great addition to my collection.

Of the notes I picked up the vast majority I liked the way they looked but the $20 gold and the $1 Legal Tender, I wasn't overly happy with them. On another forum a member put up this one for sale and I couldn't say no.
