First up is a 20 Federal Reserve Bank Note, a $20, all I need is a $10 to complete the set (although I may eventually get a $50)

Those last two are great. Large size notes and fractionals are my main interest areas.

We finally have non essential retail opened, which means that another LCS opened up. This is the one close to me. I've been waiting for them to open so I can get a newfoundland 1 cent, but since I was there I asked if they had any fractional notes. They did and a few others that I'll save up for, but this one was pretty nice and well priced. This is F1309 as it has the short thick key. This is the 25 cents from the fifth issue of fractional currency, which were issued from 2/26/1874 to 2/15/1876. The person engraved is Robert J. Walker who was the treasury secretary from 1845 to 1849. They have 2 of the 25 cents note issued, the only difference is the key in the seal of the Treasury. One is long and thin, the other is short and thick (like a hollow key).

I don't think he got the Spinner note yet. Spinner is the funny looking (okay...several of them are funny looking) bald guy on third edition 50 cent before it changed to "Justice."

Quote: I don't think he got the Spinner note yet. I believe they were referencing the signature on the 25 cent Fractional note with the Spinner signature.

Thanks all, the lCS also had a 10 cent fractional (4th issue), but I was low on cash, so that one will have to wait. It was really nice. I still want the Bust of Washington and Columbia/Liberty 15 cents, but they don't have those.

BTW I really like the details in notes compared to coins. The amount of space to do the engravings makes these a work or art. I still have a list of "affordable" notes I want. I even have a few obsolete note I am looking at. I especially want to find one of these: https://currency.ha.com/itm/obsolet...1937-82133.sNext time some one says as fake as a $3 bill, I can pop this one out :) and it has nudes. Does it get better :)

Happy Father's Day everyone! My wife and kids got me a few notes for today and I was pretty happy. I marked the ones I wanted on my guide and told my wife were to get them from and the condition. And she did. Usually all I get is socks or dinner out, but this was a nice surprise. I'll post one a day. First up is the $10 Federal Reserve Bank Note , I like these as they are different compared to the other Federal Reserve Notes, not only the Brown Shield but also the name of the Federal Reserve bank on the left.
