I assume the vertical line running up from Britannia's foot is what he believed was evidence of an overstrike rotated. Are the lines behind George's head the obverse overstrike? It would be interesting if there is a complicated overstrike going on here, but not hugely collectable in the UK. Machine errors are quite common and not much sought after. An altered or incorrect die would be much more interesting. Report this Post to the Staff
