I think this is another lamination error coin. Pulled it out of a coin roll just now.

Can we see a better close up of the area in question? I can't really tell what's going on. It almost appears that some of the copper coating is missing.

@bcr, I see the lack of plating on the obv which is allowing the zinc core to poke through. This doesn't look like a lam error to me.

Copper layer (plated layer) may be stripped in that area--better photos would help determine whats going on. Not really a lamination peel so characteristic of pre-copper plated cents.

It does look like the zinc is peeling in a couple places. I thinking it may be damaged. I can't get better pics my precious phone is not cooperating. I will try to get better pics in the morning. I'm getting a head ache. Thx y'all

Looks like some kind of corrosive liquid removed the copper layer

Zincolns do not have laminations,Mike Diamond says he has never seen one. Going to need better photos for us to help you.
