Bump, thanks for the encouragement. I would try to return it but the seller doesn't accept returns. I'll just take up ebay on their money back guarantee. In regards to slider, I was hoping that some guy found it in his attic or something and needed a quick buck. If it's too good to be true, it probably is!

File a Significantly Not as Described (SNAD) claim describing the coin as a counterfeit. Include the fact that it is grams underweight and that that is 21 times the allowed deviation. ebay almost always sides with the buyer on a SNAD claim and will require that a refund be made. This is why stating in yur auctions that returns are not accepted is meaningless. All the buyer has to do is file a SNAD claim and they get their return.

It would be a lot easier if you just say that you never received the item. That way, you don't need to ship back a counterfeit coin neither.

It may be easier, but it is not true.

So what? You want him to send back a counterfeit coin so it can be sold again?

The main goal is to get the money back.
He's not deceiving anyone. If the coin is real and he says that he didn't received, then of course is a theft but that is not the case.

But if he sent it with tracking, the tracking will show that it was delivered, in which case ebay will now side with the seller and you get no refund.
