This isn't my coin, it's up for auction. Do you think this toning is natural and what grade would you assign if it is? Thanks

Hey,
It's got some wear to the wings and the obverse has some circulation wear too. I don't think it makes AU58, but I think it might make AU55. The toning is nice and looks natural to me. Pity about the pock marks on the face.

I think I have my answer on the toning, am convinced it's artificial. Went to look at what else this seller has for sale and it's nearly all toned coins, some wildly toned. Here's a link to his outlandishly toned coins. This one is subdued but if pretty much all he sells is toned, then this one is fake as well. https://www.ebay.com/sch/morgandeal...047675.l2562

AU-58 details. I agree with everyone on AT. Most likely also cleaned.

Looking at photos on my phone now which seems clearer than looking on the computer. The reverse seems like it could be normal but the obverse looks like the seller pressed the oversaturate button on photoshop. I take back what I said earlier. Still think AU55 though. Seen way better 58s.

based on these photos I have it at AU55 details. fingerprints on reverse. decent gauges across cheek and eye area. the color is not reading well on these photos. probably was adjusted to try to enhance it

Just got around to looking at his ebay. A majority of his coins are problematic.... cleaned, polished, AT... how he has 41,000 + sales and 99.9% feedback is beyond me.

Edit: in EVERY description he has a copy and paste description and states " coin has been cleaned"..... every... single... one
