Actually I'm surprised with the number of all three privy marks (A, U & S) that I have recently found in circulation ... especially considering that only 1.5m were minted of each coin. https://www.ramint.gov.au/one-dollar I think that because the privy marks are so small they don't attract the attention that a commemorative coin does so they are more likely to remain in circulation.
