In order to post a trade, it appears you need to have 250 posts. I'm under that but maybe if I start replying to every thread I can trade a Morgan P,D, or S for a CC My chops weren't ready for the bad US Mint website first go around!  |

I bought two of each of the Morgans, Peace and ASEs for my kids to someday inherit. The thinking is that when they are all grown up (they are toddlers now) perhaps they would be worth a bit over what I paid. With all of the craziness on the secondary market I am now torn: the appreciation has already occurred, so if I truly bought these as an investment for the kids then I should sell now and put the cash toward something bigger for them (or a pair of savings bonds.) In 20-30 years they either will have a big stack of square boxes, or a nice chunk of change in a bank account. I'm buying them the presidential medals also. Those are the complete opposite in terms of appreciation, but I like them. I recall a thread on here in 2019 from a person who acquired the 2019 ASE RP and proudly pulled it out of the safetite and placed in his album rather than selling it. That was pretty cool. |

If you really want to invest for your kids future get low cost mutual funds that invest in the S&p 500 or the Russell 2000 index.

Good advice my s & p 500 index fund has done very well over the years. Buy coins to collect.
