Pistareen Valued Member United States 309 Posts	Posted 09/29/2020 10:04 am This appears to be a modern copy of a "Broken Bank Note" from the wildcat banking days of the 1830s. Private banks could open up and issue their own currency. They would often fail and the bankers be found running away in the night with satchels full of depositors coins which always retained real value. The American Banknote Company printed beautiful notes that looked like they should have value, but sometimes were turned into wall paper when the bank failed.
