I'm trying to learn about The Little things. What causes the date and whatnot to be so bold yet fat like this?

Started out with a strong strike and then got circulation wear?

Well, apparently everyone has been busy volunteering there time wonderfully answering to other people that I'm sure don't have as many questions as myself.
I completely understand and appreciate the dedication of your time to helping all of us.
I know that I tend to have a lot of questions but I honestly am doing it for good reasons. Therefore if I can just get a little bit of help with the coin I have on this post I would be most grateful.

I agree. A well struck coin, then subjected to a good dose of circulation, which leads to a degree of circulation flattening. I've seen many dimes like this one.

Hard to imagine, that this coin is 46 years old. Seen a mild circulation life compared to other coins. No premium for this one though.
