I know this coin isn't that pretty to look at but In God we trust on the obverse and the branches at the bottom of the reverse are interesting so I decided to show them to everyone. Any opinions?

I agree that this shelf-like doubling looks like MD. However, it is especially prominent on this quarter.

Machine Doubling is common. Caused by the machine. A doubled die has the doubling on the die, so all the coins struck with that die show the same spread. Machine Doubling can also affect a doubled die, but usually only on one direction:
1994-D-Quarter-Doubling-On-Both-Sides
Note these are 4 different images of the same doubled die. But note the yellow arrows? That is point to where the machine added Machine Doubling. Note all are in the same direction, but not all are MD exactly the same way. Most true variety collectors prefer variety coins without the MD, as it is a distraction from the hub doubling, and when using images with Machine Doubling confuses the topic.
