This corroded 1943 penny seems light and maybe some doubling.

Almost afraid to ask... where is it you see doubling?

Yes, it is a very corroded steel cent with no hope of improvement I'm afraid. Wheaties generally bring about 3 cents, and maybe a couple more cents being steel. Everybody always keep these thinking they're valuable, but alas, they aren't, especially in this condition. Sorry.

2.70 would be normal. Looks very corroded and the weak 4 is not unusual.
